About this package
Your driver picks you up in Jaipur and drives 2.5 hours to Ajmer for the Dargah of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti, Adhai Din Ka Jhonpra and Ana Sagar Lake. In the afternoon you cross Nag Pahar to Pushkar, 15 km away, check in, and walk down to the ghats for the evening aarti. Next morning you can take the ropeway or the steps up to the Savitri Mata temple for sunrise over the lake, then visit the Brahma Temple and the bazaar before the drive back to Jaipur.
Pushkar is a holy town: no meat, eggs or alcohol are sold, and shoes come off on the ghats. The Pushkar camel fair is held each year in the Hindu month of Kartik, in October or November, when hotels fill up early.
