About this package

Your driver picks you up in Jaipur in the morning for the 3.5 hour drive to Sawai Madhopur. After lunch at your hotel you go out on the afternoon safari, looking for tigers, leopards, sloth bears, sambar and the crocodiles of Padam Talao. The next morning starts with the dawn safari, when the animals are most active, then breakfast and a climb up to Ranthambore Fort and the Trinetra Ganesh Temple. You're back at your Jaipur hotel by evening.

Two safaris give you a much better chance of seeing a tiger than one. Seats are in a 6-seat jeep (gypsy) or a 20-seat canter, booked on the Rajasthan forest department site; book as early as you can, because winter weekends sell out. The core zones close from July to September.

Price

₹5,600 covers the car and driver for 2 days, with fuel, tolls, parking and the driver's stay. Safari seats, park fees, your hotel and meals are extra and paid by you. The best months for tigers are October to June, and the hotter months bring them out to the water.
